About Taaleem
Taaleem, which means “education” in Arabic, is one of the Middle East’s major education providers. Taaleem’s major activity is the establishment and operation of preschools, elementary schools, and high schools. Each education initiative provides an international curriculum such as British, American, International Baccalaureate, International Primary Curriculum, and a multilingual early childhood program, International Curriculum for Languages and Creative Arts.
Taaleem’s primary operations include investments in the creation and management of K-12 schools, as well as various supplementary projects.
Madaares Private Joint Stock Firm (PJSC), the holding company, owns 100% of Taaleem PJSC and Taaleem Management LLC. A nine-member Board of Directors, led by notable Emirati businessman Khalid Al Tayer, governs the corporation. Alan Williamson was Taaleem’s new Chief in 2019.
History
Taaleem, formerly known as Beacon Education, was established in 2004 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Taaleem’s initial three schools and one preschool started in 2005, providing the American and British curricula, the International Baccalaureate Programme, and the International Curriculum for Languages and Creative Arts.
Madaares “schools” was founded in 2007 by National Bonds Corporation, which is 100% owned by the Investment Corporation of Dubai, the Dubai government’s investment arm, to construct and run high-quality schools in the region. Taaleem was launched in 2008 by National Bonds and Madaares.
Mission
Their goal is to enable kids to discover their hobbies and abilities. They will encourage kids to develop all-around talents, knowledge, and character to compete effectively on the global stage and become responsible global citizens.
Their primary concern is for the students. Due to their holistic approach, they provide just as much priority to their students’ emotional, social, moral, and physical growth as they do to their academic progress. Taaleem schools
Taaleem owns nine private schools in Dubai, including pre-schools, and one private school in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
Taaleem schools are either members of the Council of International Schools or have received full accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. All Taaleem International Baccalaureate Schools are IB World Schools that are either authorized or in the process of becoming authorized for any of the four IB programs.
