Abu Dhabi National Hotels was founded four decades ago as a hotel owner and asset manager. With a portfolio of three hotels that it had previously purchased from the government, Abu Dhabi National Hotels(ADNH) was established in 1976. Sunshine Travel & Tours was founded in 1986 as an attempt to create a tourism sector.
Al Ghazal Transport was the Emirate’s first premium transportation firm, founded in 1988. Al Diar Hotels became the first domestic operator in 1991, and the first management contract was signed. ADNH Compass was created in 2001 as a joint venture with the United Kingdom-based Compass Group PLC to meet the catering needs of a variety of businesses.
It has later evolved into a hospitality empire including hotels, restaurants, destination management services, catering, and transportation.
Management
The current chairman of Abu Dhabi National Hotels is Saif bin Mohammed Al-Hamed. He is also the chairman of Al Wathba National Insurance Company. In addition, he serves on the boards of Bank of Sharjah PSC, Alfalah Insurance Co. Ltd., Emirates Lebanon Bank SAL, and Al Sagr United Group.
The CEO of Abu Dhabi National Hotels is Khalid Anib. Khalid has about 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector and has managed properties under multinational hotel chains in several locations. Khalid has worked with a variety of business types, including resorts, city hotels, and so on.
Before joining Abu Dhabi National Hotels, he managed the Hospitality Division for Al Hokair Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 5 years.
